Concessions barely pass by a thin 52% majority of sheeple!

Why don't they put up the actual vote counts?.... because they are dirty cowards?... and they want to keep the membership in the dark?...... typical NAGE Unnecessary secrecy... afraid we'll see how many didn't bother to vote?

Send them an email and ask the cowards to post the actual tallies....

As members YOU"VE GOT A RIGHT to this info.... not just their BS propaganda.

Every election or contract vote always passes with an "overwhelming majority"....

....yet they won't post a simple tally of the votes received by bargaining unit and local.....
......what are these cowards afraid of??.....
......No financial reports on how much in dues they are collecting and what they do with it.
......No operating statistics on how many grievances processed, what agencies, win loss tallies
...... No stats on Arbitrations, wins or losses, issues grieved and arbitrated....

NAGE tells you NOTHING!!!!
the only thing we ever hear from these scum are occasional self-congratulatory puff pieces that they characterize as "wins".... never hear about the losses, do we, I bet there are a plenty of them.....

NAGE fails...Municipals score Early Retirement Package

After telling state employees to go suck an egg, that is
..... NO stinkin 1% raise over two years, let's make it, say 3 or 4...
......mandatory furloughs,
......layoffs,
......new $750 health care deductible,
......reductions in optical, dental and health insurance benefits....

NAGE State Employees settle for less than nothing from the Gov and the Legislature..... but....

What is the Governor and Legislature prepared to offer Municipal employees?...

A "LIMITED" (wink-wink) ERIP (Early Retirement Program.....
)
(City and Town workers get to add 3 years to their age or 3 years to length of service....nice!)

Obviously there are more state employee concessions on the way to pay for this pricey program... (the gov and the legislature put out press releases last july saying that there would be no ERIPS because they don't save any money..... but as long as it comes out of NAGE hides I guess the additional cost is OK....)
Isn't that the usual course????...
.....need to pay for illegal immigrants health care?,
.....or Fat Municipal Helathcare insurance ?,
.....or nice annual COLAs for municipal unions?.....
No problem simply dial 1-800-NAGE-GiveBacks... here's how I imagine it....
DevalPatrick:"Hi Dave?, Deval here.... yeahhhh, we're going to need some more concessions from the sheeple, can you take care of it?
Holway: "No problem Gov, those dolts do believe whatever we tell them.... just keep those dues coming..."
DevalPatrick:"Thanks, I knew we could count on you...

I'm guessing that the Administration is already sitting down to negotiate further state employee concessions with Dave Holway and SEIU to fund this costly kiss to the Municipals...

NAGE shakes you down for $5.4 million a year in dues, and sells you down the river.... they continue to fail you....when will the sheeple wake up?

Here's the particulars from the Gov's web site.

Municipal Early Retirement Plan
The Governor today sent a letter to the Committee on Municipalities requesting it include additional proposals in a municipal relief package the committee is expected to report out shortly.
Among the Governor’s new proposals is an optional Early Retirement Incentive program for cities and towns. The proposal is structured in a restrictive manner to ensure that desired near-term savings exceed the present value cost to the pension system while still giving city and town managers sufficient flexibility to structure the program in a manner that avoids adverse operating impacts. By making this program available at local option, it will give cities and towns the flexibility to determine for themselves whether this tool is appropriate for their community.
Under the terms of the plan, eligible employees must have at least 20 years of service and must be paid out of the municipality’s operating budget. The number of participating employees shall be limited, with a strong consideration for the impact on municipal services and programs. Eligible employees would receive a maximum of three years of additional age or creditable service, or a combination of the two, the sum of which may not be greater than three.

NAGE Members 1, 3, & 6 Endorses Scott Brown for Senate

Congratulations to Scott Brown and his family.
A marvelous campaign, a stunning victory.... a real game changer.... sometimes nice guys do finish first!

Vote for Scott Brown for Senate!
On Tuesday Jan 19th

I never thought I'd recommend a Republican, but the Obama/SEIU cabal is clearly out to destroy our healthcare system (in order to provide free health care to 27 million illegal aliens,) and they will do so at the expense of the working middle class, by increasing our taxes and reducing our medical benefits.

Do you want to see your premiums sky rocket, while coverage gets skimpier and skimpier? Do you want to see a 40% sur-tax levied on the total cost of your premiums (your cost + your employer's contribution?)

Don't believe the story being put out by the Whitehouse and SEIU.....that union members are being exempted from the 40% surcharge..... it's clearly another double cross.... they just want to trick the revolting rank & file members into voting for Coakley as they have been directed by the union bosses. (even if that provision ever makes it into the legislation, it will never pass legal muster.)

By the way..... I'm looking for the back room negotiations between the President and SEIU's Andy Stern, where they cooked up the double-cross they are using to try to gull union rank & file members to vote for Coakely..... can't find it.

So what happened to Obama's pledge that everything would be transparent, on C-SPAN, and everything on the level..... a blatant lie I guess...

If Scott Brown is elected, it may be possible to stop the ultra leftwing crowd from destroying the US Economy and the middle class...... VOTE SCOTT BROWN!

WOW NAGE wins Retro Pay raises for last 3 years... ZERO %

WOW those absolute wizards of bargaining and influence peddling at Burgin Parkway have done it again...... Zero % retroactive raises for 3 years..... How do they  do it?

NAGE is a laughing stock at the Statehouse and throughout state Government.... they have absolutely no respect, NO CLOUT!!!!.....you'll never see a decent contract as long as these bandits are in charge of your money.... these bums need to be run out of town

NAGE says "while not a victory"..... oh come on don't be so hard onyouselves.... not a victory.... NO KIDDING IT IS ONE HELL OF A RAW DEAL...... you look elsewhere in the Commonwealth no stand-up union is putting up with this kind of crap..... you never see the Municpal unions, or the teachers, or the MBTA unions, or the COPS unions putting up with this kind crap..... only NAGE is selling you folks down the river like this..... it's worse than having no union.....

Who needs a union at those rates...... managers have doing one hell of a lot better than bargaining unit personnel.

Just got my Ballot package..... (VOTE NO! by the way)

These sleazes collect $5.4 million per year in dues from us but they can't spend a few stinkin' bucks to provide us postage-paid envelopes for the ballots..... Unbelievable!

Of course they're probably thinking: "Why should we spend any dues money on these stupid sheep, they'll vote for any POS contract we throw in front of them. If we were to spend any money on their election, that would be less for our salries, our junkets, our transfers to SEIU" (so they can spend $685k on advertizing for Martha Coakley!..... what the hell does any of that have to do with getting us a stinkin' 1 % raise?)

Well they've dropped their cover story about how they were negotiating (negotiation to NAGE apparently means a couple of un-returned phone calls and ignored emails..... WHAT A JOKE!!!)
.....those reimbursement details on how your going to get back that $750 deductible that the GIC just foisted on us for $35 million in savings (hey isn't that the figure the Governor and legislature needed to provide health insurance to the allegedly documented aliens?)

Here's what NAGE has to say in their disingenuous cover letter....
"What is the mechanism for reimbursing our members? How often will the reimbursements be made?... And so on. Although OTHER unions proceeded with a ratification vote without answers to these questions, we determined that the contract should not be put to our membership for a vote without some clarification of how the reimbursements would work" (Yeah, that's the ticket!).... WHAT BUNK!, here's my translation:

While the OTHER unions were negotiating we were down at a Disneyland resort knocking back cocktails with you dopes picking up the tab..... , through your dues,

Well that story served it's temporary purpose..... so "At this point, we believe we can't wait any longer...." what BS, would you buy a used car from the asshats?

VOTE NO you'll be worse off than you are now.
Repudiate these guys at NAGE that live high and mighty off your hard earned dues ($5.4m per year.) As they continue give-back after give-back..... you will only continue to worse off every year as long as these charlatans "represent" you.....

NAGE didn't even do as well as Local 509,  is getting their raise 6 months earlier than NAGE!..... NAGE ought to, at the very least, been able to get the same deal as 509!

Reject this stinkin' contract and demand the same deal that 509 got!

The 1st step in an exorcism is to NAME THE DEVIL.... here they are

Here are the Holway Toadies that have sold you down the river at the "National Convention".... they vote against your interests by allowing Holway to remain in power, to be able to siphon off 98% of your hard earned dues to do with as they please, while keeping your locals on starvation rations and rendering them unable to do anything for you.

Here are the folks that get bought off with a few drinks, a steak dinner, and a few days stay at a resort hotel..... where they don't give a good goddamn IMHO about the dues paying members back home..... they rubber stamp Holways transfers to the Purple People, the NATIONAL SEIU and their far left agendas

.... I can almost understand how social service types might delude themselves into thinking they are doing a good thing "for society", (maybe....but not for members)........

.......BUT YOU COPS????, and COURT OFFICERS????? .....how can you look at yourselves in the mirror, how can you go along with the squandering of your members' dues on the these far left causes of the National SEIU?????schemes

Well here's the list of folks that sold us down the river at the last National Convention...... say hello to them, send them an email and tell them enough is enough..... that you want some of your dues dues money spent on YOUR INTERESTS..... here in Massachusetts!!!! Tell them you want to see a decent wage before the illegal aliens get their amnesty!

Things to watch out for at the next "convention":
Watch out the swine don't vote to:
.......Sell off the multi-million dollar real estate portfolio that NAGE owns and turn it over to the Purple People so they can buy amnesty for illegal aliens.... SEIU has an insatiable appetite for your money......and that real estate can be converted in to cash real easy....

........Increase your dues ....probably by adopting the preferred SEIU dues structure.... instead of a flat fee.....collecting a percentage of YOUR GROSS PAY!!!!.....

Millions in Massachsuetts Tax dollars going to SEIU causes via NAGE UNits 1,3 & 6 Dues

That's right think about it..... that $5.4 million per year in dues that NAGE/SEIU is shaking down you down for..... that's TAXPAYER money..... who do you think pays your salary?

Those dues, paid for with taxpayer money.... that $47 bucks every month per employee are being shunted right into the NAGE National Treasury, where SEIU toady David J Holway then is able to transfer directly to the National SEIU...at his whim (well there may be some rubber stamps along the way from his hand picked toadies.....) but you poor rank & file SAPS, while getting virtually nothing in services for those dues..... you don't have a damn thing to say about it.

I'd say that the tax dollars are being laundered (through you sheeple,) but it's more like a "light rinse"..... you never really touch that money.....

After Holway and his merry band of Burgin parkway bandits have their fill of traveling and living the high-life at various resort destinations , and after they pay for the occasional million dollar legal judgments against them as a result of losing lawsuits filed against NAGE by  their own employees and those they allegedly represent.....
..... well much of what's left,  hundreds of thousands of dollars per year(often,) is transferred,to the SEIU for their ultra leftwing political agendas......... like amnesty for illegal aliens.

Check it out.....

Democrat introduces SEIU-backed illegal alien amnesty bill

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 15, 2009 11:15 AM

The SEIU needs more dues-paying members.
The open-borders lobby needs something to do.
Voila! Meet the new illegal alien shamnesty push via the Washington Times (readers: note that this is an excerpt from a NEWS story from the Times, NOT a Times editorial endorsement of amnesty!):
Democrats on Tuesday begin their new push for an immigration bill, hamstrung by the image of legalizing millions of illegal immigrant workers at a time when the unemployment rate stands at 10 percent — more than twice what it was the last time Congress tried to act.
“It certainly will confuse the debate a lot more, but at the end of the day what we have to understand is fixing this system will be good for American workers,” said Eliseo Medina, executive vice president of the Service Employees International Union, which is one of the major advocates for legalizing illegal immigrant workers.
Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, the Illinois Democrat who has taken over leadership on the issue after the death of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, plans to introduce an immigration legalization bill Tuesday, and backers are planning a strategy to avoid repeats of the failed attempts of 2006 and 2007.
The bill would torpedo the joint federal-local deportation program known as 287(g) and opposes beefing up our land borders with more Border Patrol agents or fencing.
SEIU has been lobbying for illegal alien amnesty as a massive membership booster all year. In May, the Purple Shirts held a pro-illegal immigration rally from Malcolm X Park to the White House to put pressure on homeland security officials to call off workplace raids (not that Janet Napolitano needed any convincing):..... to read the rest click this link

Update #1...NAGE shaking you down for $5.4 million per year?

Wow, the NAGE national is taking approx $5.4 million dollars in dues out of our collective pockets every year! (based on published January 2007 FTE counts.)

oh, they MIGHT be kicking back ("per capitas") a small portion of OUR dues to OUR actual unions (the locals)....(MAYBE around $114K per year....and that's a big maybe).....

So the National pockets 98% of our $5.4 million per year in check-offs.... to do with as they please..... that's what I would call a nice racket!

Seriously folks, do you think our units 1,3 & 6 members are getting anything even remotely approaching that value in services from the Burgin Parkway Bandits? No?, well I don't either......

Instead, it appears to me they are living the hi-life of high rollers...with our money!,
....that is attending "meetings" held in resort settings,
....jetting around the country staying in nice hotels while on union "business"
....enjoying lavish Christmas parties for themselves-(no members invited....) and
.....duking hundreds of thousands of our dues money to their favorite charity the national SIEU, an orgainization that probably wouldn't know a mass state employee if they fell over one.....

.....Now, such largess shown to these ultra -leftwing causes might be commendable (to some maybe, personally I find it obscene...)... except they are spending your money!.....AND THEY CAN'T EVEN GET YOU A STINKING ONE PERCENT PAY HIKE SPREAD OVER TWO YEARS!!!!!
......you never got to vote on whether these LAVISH expenditures of your dues should be undertaken, DID YOU?

(GIVEN THE MISERABLE TRACK RECORD OF FAILURE BY NAGE IN ADVOCATING FOR YOUR INTERESSTS...WOULD YOU HAVE VOTED TO SEND THEM TO DISNEYLAND FOR SOME MEANINGLESS CHIN MUSIC CONCERT SESSION?, neither would I.....

I would have said "HAVE A CONFERENCE CALL".... maybe if you can get me some kind a pay raise we can talk about you having a conference in DISNEYLAND.....NEXT YEAR....

Hey Burgin Parkway-ites.... if I'm wrong about any of this, why don't you entlighten me by posting some financial reports or activity reports showing exactly what the hell you are doing WITH OUR MONEY AND EXACTLY HOW IT IS BENEFITING units 1, 3, 6 members?

It's not easy to figure out how NAGE operates, and my guess is that's NO ACCIDENT!....
In my opinion NAGE is WAY TO SECRETIVE about itself....here's why I say that:
....they provide no financial reports of any kind to the members, ....
....no minutes of meetings,
.......no operational statistics on greivances processed, arbitrations undertaken,
......they rarely ever hold a meeting for members,
.......they provide no on-line open forum for discussion or participation by members in union business..... ........in other words they go out of their way to keep us in the dark, and as a result they deny us MEANINGFUL PARATICIPATION in UNION BUSINESS.... ( AND $5.4 MILLION PER YEAR IS ONE HELL OF A LOT OF BUSINESS WE SHOULD BE HAVING A SAY IN!!!!)

(oh sure, I know they conduct these super-short-notice "quickie" mail in ballot "elections" from time to time, ....
....where you don't know who the hell is running, or
....what they do or are going to do,
....you never have an opportunity to meet the candidates and assk questions... and
....you never hear from them again after they are elected....
that's what i call meaningless participation, if you ask me........ maybe it meets the bare bones requirements of the LMRDA, but it ain't meaningfully democratic thats' for sure.

NAGE publications?.....
..... generally limited to very occaisional self serving puff pieces LONG ON BS AND VERY SHORT ON FACT in which they cast themselves as white knights coming to the rescue of some poor beleageuerd employees.....
.....Indoor air quality seems to be their favorite theme of late...... hey how many more DOR employees must DIE! at the that toxic waste dump/office in Salem.....
......what a joke....

Back to the NAGE/SEIU shakedown (uhh, I mean dues collection)

As a member of UNit 6....For example, you belong to either Local 207/McGoldrick or to Local 282/Sorozan.... these are your unions (Not SEIU "Local 5000/aka NAGE National")..... but they don't get your dues money!!!! uhhh....No.

Your dues money goes directly to the NAGE National Union (aka SEIU Local 5000) headquarters at Burgin parkway. NAGE national is itself a "local"(SEIU Local 5000) within the SEIU .... (viewed by many as an ultra-leftwing organziation.....allegedly with ties to that wonderful organization called ACORN.)

Signifcant sums of dues money are transferred from NAGE NAtional into the coffers of SEIU... which they use to promote their politcial agenda (for example, according to their recent LM-2,  NAGE transferred $125,000 to SEIU for their political fund called the "American Dream" fund....(some would argue that a better moniker would be the "American Nightmare Fund".....)
.....The single largest expenditure on the 2005 LM-2 was for a "charitable donation" for a boondoggle called "SEIU FIGHT FOR the FUTURE!"....$363,0000!!!!!

You've got to be kidding me!..... Mass State Employees, who are being milked for a lions share of the $19 million in dues collected each year by NAGE, and they are funding these dopey experiments in social engineering by the SEIU international union? (oh and by the way, along with rubber-staamping this absolutely egregious transfer of your dues money, Sorozan & McGoldrick also  voted to increase your dues)

Hey, I'm sure the SEIU are spending our money wisely on those worthy and gnarly issues like immigration reform/amnesty and healthcare "reform", etc...and I'm sure they are having a heck of a good time while doing it.....

.....but what does any of that have to do with our local collective bargaining issues?...or for that matter with Massachsuetts local politics---- which does affect our interests....(getting repeatedly screwed by the legislature when they renege on negotiated contracts comes to mind...) anyway, I thinks it's fair to say that whatever it that SEIU is doing with our hard earned dues money has little or nothing to do with our intersts and it certainly is not helping us one damn bit....

Look, Do you think SEIU/NAGE is going to spread any of that "political walking around money" here in Massachusetts??? (a significant portion of which has been taken from Mass State Employees dues)

... I don't think so, here in the bluest of blue states, do you think SEIU has to spend any money convincing local pols that giving amnesty to illegal aliens would be a good thing?, that taxing "Cadillac health insurance plans (like ours) to pay for free insurance for millions of illegals is a good idea?....... I don't think so either, they'd just be preachin' to the choir.....

AND.... it ought to be obvious they are are not spreading any of that largess around the halls of Golden Dome in order to help get us our stinkin' 1 % raise (spread over two years!)..... No way Jose'.... Your concerns, your livelihood are obviously of little concern to NAGE/SEIU.....

NAGE would rather you settle for more level funding of your salary, and take a few Furlough days while you at it...... it is sickening I tell you.....

This excerpt form the National Constitution lays out the dues collection process

SECTION 3.
Local Units meeting the requirements of voluntary dues allotments (Dues Check-Off)
will sign an agreement with their Agency whereby the Agency will deduct the specified
dues and make all payments directly to:

NATIONAL TREASURER, FISCAL OFFICE
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES
159 BURGIN PARKWAY
QUINCY, MASSACHUSETTS 02169-4213

or such other address as the National Treasurer shall designate to each Local Unit by
written notice.

SECTION 4.
The dues structure of the Union and any division thereof shall not be changed except by a
majority vote of duly constituted delegates to a regularly scheduled or special National
Convention, or by a seventy five percent (75%), or more, vote of the National Executive
Board.
(this is another "FEATURE" of the NAGE structure.... they can increase you dues, and you don't get to vote on it.... they jsut do it to you while they are being wined and dined at some tropical resort....)

SECTION 5.
Between National Conventions, the National Executive Board shall have the authority to
take such steps it determines are needed to insure that the NAGE shall be able to meet its
obligations.

SECTION 6.
Upon receipt of said dues, the National Treasurer will return to said Local (every month
for the previous month) the Local’s Per Capita. Per Capita shall be paid at the rate of
$3.00 per member, per month, based on full-time-equivalents.
Any Local Unit may notify the National Treasurer to suspend Per Capita payments to
said Local Union.
(WHy the hell would anyone do that?..... who know maybe McGoldrick has done ?.... who knows?)

Enough for this post..... thinking about this situation is making me sick.....
