Funding Update ... still No RAISE, but a 22% increase in dues is approved!

Still hostage, day number 61....

Unlike other bargaining units who are enjoying their whopping 3% raises.
NAGE 1,3,6 members languish with no raise and no effective action by our illustrious union.

Shown above, in relevant part, is the implementation memo for Unit 2 (other units got similar memos) --click on the image to see full size...

The HR advantage newsletter reports:

"OER worked closely with other HRD staff, the Comptrollers office and ITD on the successful implementation of the economic provisions of the Units 2, 4A, 9 and 5A contract extensions. Efforts are now underway to initiate the other aspects of these agreements, including training and career ladder programs, employee safety initiatives, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and classification analyses. These initiatives will continue through the balance of this fiscal year."

NAGE official WEBSITE reports:

3% Raise Update from State Local Presidents

"We, along with the NAGE legislative staff (Ray McGrath at $166,000 a year is doing a lot better for himself than he is for us... not quite as well as Dave Holway at $245K), .....

.......continue to place our highest priority on the prompt and full funding of state employees' raises (passing a 22% increase in dues looks to have been your truly highest priority).

........We have not backed down from our constant pressure on the House Ways & Means Committee and State Ways & Means Committee to get this matter resolved immediately.(wow the W&Ms committees are obviously shaking in their boots)......

Today, based on our latest information from the State House, we're confident that the final resolution will happen shortly. (Really, what exactly IS the "Latest information"?, why not share?)

....... As soon as we learn of the specifics, we will have them posted on this website."(Ohhh damn it!, that's it, there ARE NO SPECIFICS, that's why they can't share..... does this remind you of the old saying "money talks and bull shit walks....")

Wow, those NAGE local presidents.......how inspirational....

This was obviously a political screw-upof monumental proportions by Dave "Slobodan" Holway, (well not in the same league as "Level 4 Reilly's" selection of "Deadbeat St. Fleur" as running mate....

..... but ole Dave really must have pissed someone off in the Legislature..... and the hapless members pay for his insufferable arrogance.....)

Hey, NAGE State Local presidents...:

Why no WEBSITE UPDATE on the Dues Increase ($2 a week!) you voted in Vegas? Christ almighty! That is a 22% increase in dues (gee, that does not compare favorably with the promised, yet unrealized 3% raise).... I don't think dues should be increasing faster than the rate of member salaries.....

By the way....How long do we go without money before we say the Commonwealth reneged and go back to the bargaining table???

  1. Any increases in union dues should be based on the percentage of pay
    increase

  2. Raise our dues the same percent as our contract raises

In Nov 05 my dues went from 17.50
    to 19.50 Bi-Weekly

Now we are talking about another 2.00 increase
